LAURENS _ Supervising Principal Heaman H. Stevens has announced that Virginia Smalley, a 1958 graduate of Laurens Central School, is the third June graduate to win the New York State Regents Scholarship.

Miss Smalley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenford Smalley of Mount Vision, is a student at Oneonta State Teachers College, where she is enrolled in the general education curriculum.

Miss Smalley shares the scholarship with Marjorie Turrell, now at Hartwick College, and Carol Kresge, attending Genesee Nursing School at Rochester.

Mr. Stevens also pointed out that of a graduating class of 22, 12 are now enrolled in colleges and universities.

His daughter, Darryl Stevens, is attending Delhi State Ag & Tech; Werner Haus, RPI; and Richard Becker, Wayne Aldrich and Gorgiana Mullins, Oneonta State Teachers College.

Also, Mary Nelson, Potsdam State Teachers College; Patricia McCrea, Kingston Hospital; Ralph Hansen, Dana University in Blair, Neb.; and Audrey Thompson, Delhi Ag & Tech.
