Clark Scholarship Form
Please contact Mrs Sider for the Form

It is that time of year again when seniors will be applying

Financial Aid Forms

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA 2010-2011) and the CSS profile Registration (if applicable) should all be completed very soon if not already. Please check with the colleges about additional financial aid. Scholarship information is still coming in and students should continue to look through the scholarship folder in the Guidance Office. Call Mrs. Sider with any questions at 432-2050. Check the Student Aid Report (SAR) for accuracy and make any corrections. The publication “Funding Education Beyond High School” contains key information. Copies are available in the guidance office.

Juniors

Mrs. Sider will be seeing Juniors in class and then individually to discuss their senior year schedules and college/career/military plans after graduation in February and March. Please discuss these issues with your child if you have not already done so. Spring is a good time to develop a list of colleges that may interest students. You may call, write, or e-mail colleges now to obtain information. Check out their websites, too! Spring and summer vacations are an excellent time to visit colleges and schedule admissions interviews as well.

Important Financial Aid Information for Parents of 7th to 11th Grade Students!

The Federal Government has created an online tool called “FAFSA4caster”. It can help you prepare financially for college BEFORE officially applying for financial aid. It provides an estimate of federal student aid eligibility by instantly calculating an estimated expected family contribution (EFC), the indicator used to estimate a family’s or student’s ability to contribute toward the cost of college education. FAFSA4caster determines what types of aid (grants, work-study, and loans) the student is eligible to receive and provides an estimated award amount for each. Some of the data entered in FAFSA4caster will then populate FAFSA on the web application when the student officially applies for federal student aid. The website is www.federalstudentaid.ed.gov.
