On the February 6 Parent-Teacher Conference Day we will have
two important learning opportunities available for parents of students in
grades 6-12.
1. 1. Shawna Has a Secret- We will be running two sessions, one at 1:00 and one at 2:00. If you've never had the opportunity to experience this mini workshop, Mrs. Sider highly recommends it. It's a hands on way to learn about the signs of drug abuse, what to look for, what to say if you're concerned and who to call if trouble is found.
2. 2. Reality Check- Vaping/Juuling/E-cigarettes have become a huge problem in middle
and high schools across the country. Bonnie Peck, Reality Check’s Youth Engagement Coordinator, will also have a table set up for parents (and faculty/staff) outside the MPR. She'll have more educational info on e-cigarettes, vaping, Juuling and tobacco use in general.
Thank you to Mrs. Sider for
organizing these presentations! We hope
that you have the opportunity to stop in.
