The Laurens Athletic Booster Club is a non-profit membership association that operates for the purpose of encouraging, promoting and assisting in coordination and recognition of athletic, recreational and related activities involving all students in Laurens Central School and all towns that comprise the Laurens Central School District. The Booster Club engages in fundraising activities to contribute to the athletic programs offered by Laurens Central School. Any person residing within the areas which comprise the Laurens Central School District is encouraged to join.
There are annual dues, which are collected at the September meeting. Currently the dues are $10 per family.
The Athletic Booster Club offers scholarships to students who wish to attend sports camps during the summer. Active Booster Club members may receive up to 50% of cost of camp and all others may receive up to 25% or less depending on funds available. An active Booster Club member is a person who participates in at least ten (10) Booster fundraising or other club activities such as: sales, set-up or clean-up of concession stand, Awards Dinner set-up and/or clean-up, and 50/50 raffles. He/she must also attend two-thirds of the monthly meetings.
The Athletic Booster Club is always looking for new members and would encourage all sports fans to join.
