School Security

The main entrance to the building will be from the bus loop. All visitors, parents and students entering the building during the day need to park their vehicle in the designated spaces ( see parking rules) and enter the building through the front doors. You will be required to sign in at the main office.

From 7:45 – 8:05 in the morning and at 2:50pm the side doors of the building will be opened for parents to drop students off and pick them up in the afternoon. This will reduce congestion in the front of the building.


Effective 12/18/2006 all doors will be locked at 8:05AM, except the Front door. All persons entering the building will be required to enter through this door and will sign in. This procedure will not impact the ability of anyone, student or adult, to exit the building through any door, as required by New York State Law.

School Tax Information

The Laurens Central School District will be collecting taxes for the 2022-2023 school year using the following methods beginning September 1, 2022:



Payments may be sent via postal mail to the address listed below.   Please make checks payable to the Laurens CSD for the exact amount of your school tax bill.  The amount written in numerals must match the amount written in word form on the check.   (Ex. $657.65 must be written as “Six hundred fifty-seven and 65/100”)

Payments may be dropped off to Mrs. Andrea Hall in the Main Office between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on days when school is in session.  Please park in the designated spaces in the bus loop, enter the main doors and proceed to the window in the vestibule.  


Please label the envelope to Kim Loftus EXACTLY as listed above.  MRS. HALL WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PROVIDE A RECEIPT OR ANSWER ANY ASSESSMENT QUESTIONS.   This is for dropping off payments only.

Our goal is to provide much needed and important information to parents, community members and tax payers residing in our District on a monthly bases. Due to the generosity of individuals, businesses and organizations we have been able to do this. 

The cost of sponsoring a newsletter is $150.00 This covers the cost of the mailing, and does not include copying, paper, or labor costs for the creation, typing, and editing of the newsletter. One of the most effective ways to improve the quality of education for our youth is to provide a constant form of communication between the school and the home. Keeping parents and community members well informed is vital to the success of our children.
