I graduated in May 2003 from the State University College at Oneonta with departmental honors in Elementary Education. I received my masters degree, also with honors, in Elementary Education in 2008 from the University of New England. I have been teaching at Laurens Central School since September, 2004.
MISSION STATEMENT
My goal/mission as a teacher is to dedicate myself to being a life long learner, an ideal I hope to instill in your child. I hold high expectations for your child and expect him/her to do the same for me. It is our classroom, our community and we need to do what works best for all of us in order that all children strive to work at their optimum level of performance. I believe teaching is more than about learning basic facts. It is about learning how to work cooperatively with others as a team, how to be productive members of a community, how to respect others as well as ourselves, and most importantly, it's about mastering how to engage oneself successfully in the learning process.
